Garbanzo Punishes Legends Pitchers This Week Monday, August 21st , 2073 Xorge Garbanzo, known affectionately as "the old man" by the younger players in the Aviators clubhouse, showed his teammates how to do it last week -- and in the process the 36-year-old vet beat out all competition for the Legends Conference Player of the Week Award. He put up a .389 batting average, 7 hits in 18 at-bats, 2 home runs and 6 RBIs. Garbanzo also scored 2 runs. Thus far this year, Garbanzo has hit .231 with 16 home runs and 36 RBIs. |
