Andrews Jr. Swings for the Cycle
Sunday, July 29th , 2068
Getting 4 hits is a good day by any measure, but when those include a single, double, triple and a home run -- that's something special. Hayden Andrews Jr.'s day was a special one.
The third baseman hit for the cycle to spark the Nashville Stars to a 8-1 victory over the Detroit Demons at Demon's Lair at Laser Park today. Nashville manager said he thought the whole lineup looked good in batting practice, but had not been expecting anything extraordinary from Andrews Jr. in particular.
"Hayden caught me by surprise today," the skipper said. "He looked good before the game, but man, he looked unbelievable during it."
For the day, Andrews Jr. finished with 3 runs batted in and 2 runs scored to go with his 4 hits.
Hayden Andrews Jr. singled in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Clay Homes in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit an RBI triple in the 9th.
This season Andrews Jr. has hit at a .275 clip with 45 RBIs, 11 home runs and 38 runs scored.
