Belfour Gets Award for Relief Work Saturday, October 21st , 2073 Thorne Belfour came out of the bullpen and worked through tough situations all year, and for his performance he's been named the recipient of the Champions Conference Reliever of the Year Award for 2073. The 30-year-old out of Saskatoon, Canada captured the award with 18 saves in 50 relief appearances, 88 strikeouts in 75.2 innings and a record of 6 wins and 3 losses to go with his 2.02 ERA. "I'm thankful, it's a great honor," he told Baseball News Network. Ray Xavier of the Death Valley Scorpions finished second in voting, while Talk O'Bell of the Seattle Sea Serpents finished third. |
