Nomenon Beguiles Seattle
Wednesday, June 13th , 2074
The Seattle Sea Serpents manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Death Valley Scorpions. The Sea Serpents were overpowered by Death Valley starter Femini Nomenon, who hurled his club to victory, 4-0.
"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," said.
Over 9 innings, Nomenon blanked Seattle on 3 hits with no walks and 9 strikeouts.
"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Nomenon said.
"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
His record for the year is 7-3 in 11 starts and Nomenon has a 3.01 ERA.
