Texas-Ranger Torches Vandals for 5 Hits
Friday, June 21st , 2075
After his 5-hit effort at The Lodge was tarnished by Toronto's 11-6 loss to the Vancouver Vandals, catcher Walker Texas-Ranger told BNN beat writers it was "a missed opportunity for a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "I would have been happy to stop there if it meant we got a win."

He didn't get the win, but the 30-year-old had a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Vandals.

"His swing is getting there," said Pathfinders skipper after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Walker did that to perfection and we wasted it."

Walker Texas-Ranger singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 10th.

Thus far this year, Texas-Ranger is batting .307 with no home runs, 16 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
