Champions Names Rougarous CheekiSon Winner Monday, August 12th , 2075 New Orleans fans have something to crow about today as New Orleans right fielder Odin CheekiSon nabbed the Champions Conference Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said CheekiSon. He posted a .579 average (11-for-19) this past week with 2 home runs, 9 RBIs, and 7 runs scored. For the season, CheekiSon is hitting .307, batted in 55 runs with 9 home runs and 46 runs scored. |
