MeHire Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Vancouver Thursday, September 5th , 2075 The Vancouver Vandals pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Kanutake MeHire hitless in 5 at-bats during the club's 5-3 victory over the New York Voyagers at The Thunderdome. The disappointing performance ended a 20-game hitting streak for the left fielder. "I'm a little down right now," MeHire said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." In the 2075 season MeHire is hitting .307 with 17 home runs. |
