Week's Best Player Honored by Champions Monday, September 9th , 2069 Death Valley Scorpions left fielder Smalls walked away with the Champions Conference Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Scorpions fans are really behind me right now," said the 27-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Smalls batted .450 (9-for-20) with 3 home runs and 5 RBIs this week on his way to the award. Thus far this season Smalls has hit .296 with 21 home runs, 75 RBIs and scored 59 times. |
