Cancun Catcher Named Champions's Best Rookie Sunday, October 20th , 2075 The regular season is now history and it's awards time in the Champions Conference. This year's winner of the Rookie of the Year Award is 23-year-old Carlton Beaty of the Cancun Toros. The talented catcher batted .317, played in 108 games and delivered 123 hits in 388 at-bats. His totals also included 11 home runs, 68 RBIs, 53 runs scored, 26 walks and a .356 OBP. Dee Fernandez Jr. of the Indianapolis Apex finished second in voting, while Ea Nasir of the New Orleans Rougarous finished third. |
