At The Lodge Chauncey Ingram smashed his 200th career home run in a game against Boise today. The 31-year-old designated hitter had a hand in the Toronto Pathfinders 7-5 victory with 1 home run and 4 runs batted in. For the day he went 3 hits-4 at-bats.
At the press conference after the game, Ingram downplayed his achievement.
"To reach 200 home runs is amazing and something I'll always cherish. I've been fortunate to remain healthy and play at a high level through most of my career."
Looking at his career numbers, Ingram has played in 959 games with a .274 batting average. Among his 1020 hits are 236 doubles, 10 triples and 200 home runs. He has also scored 531 runs and driven in 649 runs.
