Hitting Streak Still Alive for Mander Monday, August 31st , 2076 The number just keeps getting higher. San Antonio left fielder Jerry Mander has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 1 hit in 5 at-bats as the San Antonio won the game, 9-5, over the Death Valley Scorpions at The Treehouse. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Death Valley manager said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Jerry Mander doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
