Dogmaple Rips 3 HR Monday, August 31st , 2076 Buffalo Surge third baseman D.W. Dogmaple slugged three home runs against the Detroit Demons at The Power House, but couldn't win the game all by himself. The Demons spoiled his day by defeating the Surge, 8-7. "The loss puts a damper on the outstanding game D.W. had, but people will be buzzing about this for days to come," Buffalo manager . "That's gotta be some consolation to him. But knowing D.W., he would have preferred a win." For the game, Dogmaple was 4-for-6 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "The first two I got all of them and it was no doubt they were gone," Dogmaple said later. "It seemed like the wind helped it a little on that last one. I just wish Mother Nature had helped us win the game, too." D.W. Dogmaple hit a two-run home run off Pythagoras in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Pythagoras in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Pythagoras in the 5th, struck out in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and grounded out in the 11th. Dogmaple on the season is hitting .272 with 24 home runs. His stats include 69 RBIs and 68 runs scored. |
