Rosenthal Rips Cancun for 5 Hits
Monday, October 5th , 2076
Indianapolis catcher Leon Rosenthal could do no wrong today, but the Apex could.
Rosenthal collected 5 hits against the Cancun Toros, but he couldn't win the game. Indianapolis fell, 10-9, in extra innings at Coliseo Toros, presentado por VINS.
"It's a shame we didn't win," Rosenthal said later. "It would have been a very special day if that had happened."
"In every one of his at-bats, things were in his favor," Toros manager said. "We couldn't keep him from getting ahead in the count and once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get better pitches to hit."
Leon Rosenthal singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jihmih Beniko in the 6th, singled in the 9th and struck out in the 10th.
Looking at his present stats, Rosenthal has compiled a .277 batting average in 109 games with a .331 on-base percentage, while hitting 12 home runs and driving in 41 runs.
