Blast Off! 3 HR for MeHire Saturday, July 10th , 2077 Kanutake MeHire was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 5-3 New York Voyagers triumph at The Island. The 31-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Voyagers past the Outer Banks Aviators. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," MeHire told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The left fielder went 3-for-4, rung up 3 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Kanutake MeHire hit a solo-shot off Doc Holliday in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Doc Holliday in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Chudigal Son in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. Thus far this year, MeHire is batting .237 with 6 home runs, 24 RBIs and 45 runs scored. |
