Longpipe Shuts Out Providence, 7-0
Saturday, June 11th , 2078
The Providence Crabs were almost helpless in their 7-0 loss to the New York Voyagers and hurler Leonidas Longpipe. Longpipe kept the Crabs confused all game, spinning a 3-hit shutout.

"Tip your hat to Longpipe," Providence manager said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."

The 32-year-old left-hander had no walks and 6 strikeouts in a strong performance.

"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Longpipe said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."

So far this year, Longpipe has a 4-2 record with a 2.85 ERA.
