Week's Top Performer Honored by Legends Monday, August 1st , 2078 Outer Banks fans have something to crow about today as Outer Banks second baseman Robert Oliver nabbed the Legends Conference Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Oliver. He posted a .500 average (10-for-20) this past week with 1 home run, 5 RBIs, and 3 runs scored. For the season, Oliver is hitting at a .288 clip with 7 home runs, 47 RBIs and has scored 44 runs. He has 78 hits, 32 walks and a .362 on-base percentage. |
