Top of the Charts: Traveler Has Hit Record Thursday, September 15th , 2078 Grayle Traveler is celebrating tonight. The Providence star stroked another base hit to break a tie with Thomas Rose and claim the top spot on the single-season hits leaderboard. It was hit number 166 for Traveler. "I don't go out to set records," said Traveler. "I just try to play hard and let the chips fall where they may." Grayle Traveler struck out in the 1st and singled in the 3rd. This season, Traveler has posted a batting average of .368 with 166 hits in 451 at-bats, 14 home runs and 75 RBIs. He has also scored 91 runs, walked 44 times and compiled a .424 OBP. |
