Friday, September 16th , 2078
Batting titles are tough to come by. It takes a lot of talent, hard work, consistency, few slumps, good health and a little luck.
Grayle Traveler of the Providence Crabs put it all together this year and led the Legends Conference with a .366 batting average (166-for-454).
The Crabs left fielder played in 108 games, ending the season with 46 doubles, 5 triples, 14 home runs, 91 runs and 75 RBI.
"When you work hard, good things happen," Traveler explained to reporters after winning the coveted award. "Slumps happen to everyone, but you won't break out of one without hard work. I think that's one of the prime reasons for my success this season."
