Toronto Halts Eshenbaugh's Hitting Steak Thursday, June 1st , 2079 The Toronto Pathfinders pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Patrick Eshenbaugh hitless in 4 at-bats during the club's 5-4 victory over the Outer Banks Aviators at The Island. The disappointing performance ended a 22-game hitting streak for the left fielder. "I'm a little down right now," Eshenbaugh said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." To date, Eshenbaugh has collected 50 hits for a .362 average. He has posted 5 home runs, scored 25 runs and driven in 37 runs. |
