Toronto could only muster 4 hits and draw 1 walk against the right-handed Vaseline, who controlled them throughout the game. Boise won the contest, 3-0. Vaseline added 11 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Vaseline told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." Vaseline has made 11 starts this season, posting 2 wins and 4 losses.
