Julio Ruiz Jr. Strokes 3 Home Runs Sunday, July 16th , 2079 Whatever Julio Ruiz Jr. ate for breakfast before his game against the Detroit Demons, it gave him some impressive power. The Outer Banks third baseman smacked three balls up and out of the park at Demon's Lair at Laser Park. His home run barrage helped the Aviators defeat the Demons, 15-1. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 6-for-6, scored 4 times, drove in 8 and put on a display that history will remember. Julio Ruiz Jr. hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Goaty McGoatFace in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Rene-Antoine LePouvoirs in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Brad Van de Hat in the 9th. For the season, Ruiz Jr. has produced 75 hits in 239 at-bats for a .314 average with 18 home runs and gotten on base at a .395 clip. |
