"Winning the Reliever of the Year Award at age 34 is something I didn't really expect, but I'll take it," he said. Iceman's strong season saw him fashion a 2.77 ERA through 91 innings. He had 19 saves in 55 relief appearances and also put up 103 strikeouts and 34 walks. Opponents hit only .210 against the tough reliever. Big Rooster of the New York Voyagers finished second in voting, while Carlos Krash of the San Antonio Sloths finished third. |
