Lunar Base's Delvecchio Wins 2079 Newcomer Award Sunday, October 22nd , 2079 The top-rated rookie for 2079 in the Champions Conference has been selected and the honor went to Lunar Base catcher Tony Delvecchio. It was a season to remember for the 23-year-old Space Rangers newcomer. He wrapped up his first year with a .294 batting average, 17 doubles, 1 triple and 13 home runs. Delvecchio also had 47 RBIs and scored 53 times. John Jonathan Johnsen-Jonsen of the Cancun Toros finished second in voting, while Crabtin Crunch Jr. of the Indianapolis Apex finished third. |
