Muirchertach Socks It to Vandals, Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, June 19th , 2080 The Dublin Rebels stopped the Vancouver Vandals by a score of 13-4 at The Thunderdome, with the lion's share of the credit going to center fielder Cianán Muirchertach. The 28-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Muirchertach said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Muirchertach did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Vandals. "Not much that I can say," offered Vancouver manager . "He just hammered the heck out of us." Cianán Muirchertach singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. This year, Muirchertach is batting .300 with 57 hits, 4 home runs, 29 RBIs, 22 walks, .372 OBP and has scored 33 runs. View Boxscore View Game Log Watch Highlights |
