Hall of Fame Welcomes Vyda Wednesday, January 7th , 2071 Thousands of fans braved the wind to watch and cheer as baseball's latest legend, Kasey Vyda, was inducted into the Pro Baseball Experience Hall of Fame today. With his 221 home runs, 1442 hits and lifetime .276 batting average, everyone knew the gifted right fielder belonged with the immortals of the game. Still, Vyda remained humble. "I'm a very lucky person to be born with the skill to play baseball and through baseball I built a name for myself," said Vyda. Now his career as a baseball player is complete. "This seals it," he said. "To get the recognition that every ballplayer seeks -- this is completion for me." Vyda retired at 36 in 2068. He was inducted as a member of the Detroit Demons, earning votes from 100.0% of eligible voters. In his epic career he played in 1405 games and finished with 849 RBIs and 817 runs scored. |
