Rougarous End Stirling's Streak Sunday, July 19th , 2071 It was a doubly miserable day today for Scottie Stirling of the Cancun Toros, as he saw his 22-game hitting streak end and his team lose 7-6 to the New Orleans Rougarous at Full Moon Stadium. The 31-year-old right fielder was held hitless in 5 at-bats by the Rougarous. "Anyone on a 22-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," New Orleans manager said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." To date Stirling has chalked up a .311 average with 18 home runs, driven in 55 runs and scored 42 times. |
