Dreadful Season Sees Playoff Hopes Dashed for Providence Sunday, August 9th , 2071 It's back to the drawing board for the Providence Crabs. The club's efforts at building a championship contender fell short this year, as the team was officially eliminated from playoff contention today. The Crabs have missed the playoffs 25 times in their 55 years as a Pro Baseball Experience franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 4th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2067. In the last 10 seasons, the Crabs have missed the playoffs 3 times.
