20-Game Hitting Streak for Friar Saturday, July 25th , 2048 Jakob Friar ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games today at Ballpark of Meeker, when he collected 1 hit in 3 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the State College Swift Steeds dropped the game, 7-5, to the California Firehawks. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Friar said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Jakob Friar flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and walked in the 8th. Friar is currently hitting at a .291 pace with 13 home runs and 56 RBIs. |
