3 Boomers for Love Wednesday, May 4th , 2072 Fans are still buzzing after Amarillo whipped the Chicago Kingpins by the score of 13-4 today at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium. Jordan Love smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the designated hitter bashed out 4 hits in 5 at-bats, had 10 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Love said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Love said. "Three is just... wow." Jordan Love hit a two-run single in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Osaki Rinji in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Balker Weuhler in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Leeroy Jenkins in the 9th. This season Love is batting .340 with 21 RBIs, 8 runs scored and 4 home runs. |
