Slow Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Monday, August 1st , 2072 The State College Swift Steeds fell to the Chicago Kingpins in The Jose Forty-Three Stadium today, even as 21-year-old left fielder Bazooka Slow upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Slow finished with 1 hit in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Swift Steeds from dropping the 5-3 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Slow. Bazooka Slow struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year Slow is batting .337 with 105 hits and 17 home runs. He has scored 76 times and has batted in 35 runs. |
