Kingpins End Slow's Streak Tuesday, August 2nd , 2072 Bazooka Slow of the State College Swift Steeds came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 4 at-bats for the first time in 20 games. Making matters even worse for the left fielder, State College dropped the game to the Chicago Kingpins 8-3. "It was not a good day today," Slow told the press in postgame comments. "We lost the game and the streak is over." Looking at his stats this year, Slow has compiled a .332 batting average, while hitting 17 home runs and driving in 35 runs. He has played in 75 games and scored 77 runs. |
