Ailescu Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Friday, September 13th , 2058 The number just keeps getting higher. Florida first baseman M'leksandr Ailescu has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 1 hit in 4 at-bats as the Florida took the 4-2 win over the Amarillo Armadillos at The Mound. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Amarillo manager said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." M'leksandr Ailescu struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
