The Amarillo Armadillos took the 4-2 win today over the Chicago Kingpins, but the Kingpins mound staff did what nobody else could -- they stopped the 20-game hitting streak of Armadillos second baseman Sidney Hughes. "We might have focused a bit too much on stopping Hughes," Chicago manager commented afterward. "He had a nice hitting streak going, but the Armadillos have other hitters and they did their job today." |
