Monster 3-HR Day for NukesEm Wednesday, May 31st , 2073 Today was a special one for Duke NukesEm of the Louisville Lemurs as he slammed three home runs in the 6-3 Lemurs win over the Puerto Rico Ranas. "Lately, I've been uppercutting the ball too much," he said to sportswriters after the game. "I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark. No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Louisville second baseman collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 5, and scored 3 runs in the contest at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle. Duke NukesEm grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ottov Yeoj [BOT] in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Ottov Yeoj [BOT] in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Harry Berry [BOT] in the 8th. Thus far this year, NukesEm has hit .387 with 12 home runs and 32 RBIs. |
