Firehawks End Cortez's Streak Sunday, May 15th , 2067 Victor Cortez of the Chicago Kingpins came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 3 at-bats for the first time in 24 games. Making matters even worse for the center fielder, Chicago dropped the game to the California Firehawks 6-3. "It was not a good day today," Cortez told the press in postgame comments. "We lost the game and the streak is over." Currently Cortez has 3 home runs and a .344 batting average. |
