Cortez Selected Top Player Monday, August 15th , 2067 It was a fantastic week for Chicago center fielder Victor Cortez and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the Minor League PBE Player of the Week Award. Last week Cortez hammered the ball at a torrid .400 pace, going 10-for-25 with 4 home runs, 6 RBIs and 8 runs scored. So far this year, Cortez is batting .289 with 16 home runs and 46 RBIs. |
