Sugisawa Rips 3 HR
Tuesday, September 13th , 2067
The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Kansas City Hepcats today.
Louisville designated hitter Ryan Sugisawa tripled up on the home runs to propel the Lemurs to the 7-4 win at Kenny Payne Appreciation Stadium.
"We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Kansas City manager said. "Sugisawa hit the heck out of the ball."
In addition to the homers, Sugisawa collected 3 hits in 3 at-bats, 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs.
"Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings."
Ryan Sugisawa hit a solo-shot off Bennie Rocker in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Bennie Rocker in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Jose O'Reily in the 7th.
A look at his current stats shows Sugisawa with a .261 average, 6 home runs, 33 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has played in 106 games.
