Ranas End Marcus's Streak Wednesday, May 30th , 2068 The Puerto Rico Ranas pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Aidan Marcus hitless in 5 at-bats during the club's 6-5 victory over the Chicago Kingpins at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium. The disappointing performance ended a 21-game hitting streak for the second baseman. "I'm a little down right now," Marcus said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." This year Marcus has hit at a .271 clip with 36 hits, 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and 17 runs scored. |
