Balls Earns MiLPBE's Best Pitcher Honor Wednesday, August 1st , 2068 A standout performance in July earned Barry Balls the Pitcher of the Month Award in the Minor League PBE. When his name was penciled in to start by the Florida skipper, it meant trouble for opposing teams. For the month the Flamingos star racked up 4 wins and no losses. In 31.1 innings of work, Balls limited opposing batters to 22 base hits and a .191 batting average. He notched 14 strikeouts, issued 11 walks and had a 1.72 ERA. So far this season, Balls has logged a 9-4 record with a 2.58 ERA. He has started 18 games, hurled 104.2 innings and registered 54 strikeouts and 40 walks. |
