20 Games in a Row for Martin Saturday, August 24th , 2075 Ben Martin ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games at Florida Man Park, when he collected 2 hits in 6 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Amarillo Armadillos dropped the game, 5-4, to the Florida Flamingos. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Martin said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Ben Martin hit a sac fly in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 10th, flied out in the 12th and singled in the 14th. To date Martin has chalked up a .308 average with 12 home runs, driven in 47 runs and scored 31 times. |
