Brew City Ace Named MiLPBE Most Valuable Player Award

For fans of the Brew City Bears, there was certainly no doubting the value of Shota Takahashi this season.

Now the 22-year-old pitcher has an award to show just how valuable he was, as he's been named the 2075 Minor League PBE Most Valuable Player Award winner.

His remarkable campaign saw him put up a 9-5 record. In 27 starts he piled up 179.1 innings, had 127 strikeouts with 47 walks and a 2.46 ERA. Takahashi held opposing hitters to a .230 batting average and compiled a 4.6 WAR.

Niklavs Stavinskis of the Kansas City Hepcats finished second in voting, while Alan Greer of the Florida Flamingos finished third.
