Brew City Stops Sahur Hit Streak Wednesday, July 8th , 2076 It was the best of both worlds for the Brew City Bears at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House, as they defeated the Florida Flamingos, 4-3, and also snapped Tung Tung Tung Sahur's 20-game hitting streak. The 22-year-old Florida right fielder failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats. "Nothing personal against Sahur, we just wanted to win the game," said Bears skipper . "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing." When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Sahur frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won." To date, Sahur has collected 76 hits for a .322 average. He has posted 13 home runs, scored 45 runs and driven in 33 runs. |
