Flamingos Luca MiLPBE Hitter of the Week Monday, August 31st , 2076 Florida fans have something to crow about today as Florida first baseman Luca nabbed the Minor League PBE Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Luca. He posted a .481 average (13-for-27) this past week with 3 home runs, 5 RBIs, and 9 runs scored. This season, Luca has posted a batting average of .298 with 122 hits in 410 at-bats, 25 home runs and 66 RBIs. He has also scored 85 runs, walked 53 times and compiled a .379 OBP. |
