Seong Hits in 20 Straight Games
Saturday, July 17th , 2077
Win or lose, Eun Seong just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 2 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games.
The California Firehawks second baseman went 2-for-4, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated, 5-4, by the Anchorage Wheelers at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo.
"It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Eun Seong struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Daniel Armstrong in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
Currently Seong is hitting .310 and has collected 9 home runs, 35 RBIs and scored 45 times, while playing in 63 games.
