Lemurs Pitching Ravaged by Stitcherson
Saturday, July 17th , 2077
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 6-for-7 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Vumion Stitcherson, it came around today.
The 22-year-old second baseman scattered hits all over Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle to pace the 19-3 Brew City Bears victory over the Louisville Lemurs.
Louisville skipper told reporters in the press room that "Stitcherson deserves a hat-tip."
"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Stitcherson hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."
Vumion Stitcherson grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Blake Faux III in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
In his season totals, Stitcherson has 8 home runs, .317 BA, .358 OBP, 34 RBIs and 44 runs scored. He has played in 63 games.
