Creek Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Brew City
Friday, May 6th , 2078
Kansas City defeated Brew City, 4-2, at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good, but saw the 20-game hitting streak of Hepcats first baseman Super Creek snapped -- the Bears held Creek hitless in 4 at-bats.
"I enjoyed the streak," he said in a BNN interview after the game. "It's great in one way, but the day-to-day pressure to keep it going can be tough to handle, too. The main thing is we got the win today. That's all that really counts."
This season, Creek has delivered 21 hits in 56 at-bats for a .375 average with 4 home runs. He is getting on base at a .407 clip and his totals also include 10 RBIs and 9 runs scored. This year Creek has played in 13 games.
