Majima Crushes 3 HR Against Chicago
Monday, August 29th , 2078
California Firehawks shortstop Goro Majima put on a dazzling display of power at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons against the Chicago Kingpins. In the 8-3 Firehawks victory, Majima penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts.
"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Chicago manager said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well."
Along with his three home runs, the 22-year-old had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Majima said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today."
Goro Majima hit a two-run home run off Lord Slick Fingers in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Lord Slick Fingers in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Remmy Rattlesnake in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
This year, Majima is batting .302 with 124 hits, 6 home runs, 52 RBIs, 39 walks, .365 OBP and has scored 52 runs.
