State College Stops Sheeping Hit Streak Thursday, September 14th , 2079 The State College Swift Steeds pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Samuel Sheeping hitless in 4 at-bats during the club's 6-3 victory over the Louisville Lemurs at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle. The disappointing performance ended a 21-game hitting streak for the right fielder. "I'm a little down right now," Sheeping said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." This season in 107 games, Sheeping is batting .326 with 22 home runs, 85 RBIs and has scored 84 times. |
