Lincoln-Mercury Keeps Hit Streak Alive

Ford Lincoln-Mercury, left fielder for the Kansas City Hepcats, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 8-4 victory today over the Anchorage Wheelers at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo today.
"Not the outcome we wanted," Anchorage manager said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Ford Lincoln-Mercury flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Dee Fernandez Jr. in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
For the year Lincoln-Mercury has hit at a .440 clip with 27 RBIs, 9 home runs and 25 runs scored.
