Armadillos End Vasquez's Streak Wednesday, May 27th , 2071 Daniel Vasquez, catcher for the Chicago Kingpins, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 4 tries against the Amarillo Armadillos today. Not only did the Armadillos break his 25-game hitting streak, they also beat Chicago by the score of 6-2. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Vasquez said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." This season Vasquez is hitting .358 with 48 hits, 2 home runs, 15 RBIs, scored 18 runs and played in 29 games. |
